Implicit biases are unconscious beliefs that come out and cause you to act in a particular way. We all have implicit biases, yet we don’t often know what to do with them, including how to acknowledge, examine, respond, and change them. This class will look into implicit bias in early childhood education settings and how it contributes to the suspension and expulsion of young children.
