DSS keeps an up-to-date list of all licensed childcare providers in South Dakota. You can use their website to search this list by county, zip code or by provider type.

Responsive Parenting Classes

Early Childhood Connections offers a series of parenting classes called Responsive Parenting - Understanding Me Up To Age 3. Series are scheduled on an on-going basis, call us at 605- 342-6464 for information about the next series.

Car Seats

Early Childhood Connections is part of a State program to provide free car seats to families on any form of State assistance. Car seats can be requested from many program partners in the Region. For information about acquiring a car seat from ECC or a program partner, call us at 605-342-6464.
Child Safety Resource Page According to the World Health Organization, 90 percent of child injuries are accidental, with the leading causes including drowning or car crashes. Dangerous situations can also occur in homes, driveways or online. Child Developmental Milestones

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have put together an excellent child developmental milestones checklist, including things to look for at different ages and stages of childhood. View the CDC’s resource here.
