Program History

Early Childhood Connections is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established in the summer of 1995 to offer a variety of services that provide support and education to childcare providers, teachers and parents involved in the care of children.

Service Area

ECC serves 13 counties in Western South Dakota, including the communities of Rapid City, Spearfish, Sturgis, Belle Fourche, Buffalo, Custer, Hot Springs, Lemmon, Pine Ridge, Kadoka, Martin, Phillip and Dupree.

During COVID-19

Early Childhood Connections would like to assist child care programs with any questions or concerns they have upon reopening or remaining open amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Please review the CDC guidelines via the link below to obtain guidance on cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting procedures, handling pick-up, drop-off, health screenings, food preparation, and more! Additionally, any questions regarding state regulations for child care should be directed to your Licensing representative.

Early Childhood Connections will remain open whenever possible in order to better serve area childcare providers. Please review our policies about visiting our office prior to attending training with ECC.
